Taylor Bracewell Solicitors in Doncaster & Sheffield:
The "About Us" page is a standard feature of any businesses website. Alongside "Contact Us" and "Homepage" there are very few pages we absolutely expect to see when we land on a company's internet showroom. Taylor Bracewell, however, did not have an "About Us" page for us to peruse. They do have a Facebook page, Twitter account, LinkedIn profiles and even a YouTube channel. So they are not shy. So are they simply different?
In 2014, 2015 and 2016 Taylor Bracewell were recommended in Legal 500 - an annual guide judging the top law firms, lawyers, attorneys, advocates, solicitors and barristers in the UK. More specifically, they received accolades for their charity law, family law and employment law work. The rankings are based on feedback from both clients and other solicitors. A few of the staff received individual mentions such as Alison Kitchman, a Collaborative Family Lawyer and partner in the firm, who was described as "extremely proficient". Sara Ellison, Head of HR and Employment Law, was called "down-to-earth" with the whole team at TaylorBracewell receiving general comments like "excellent" and "very professional".
Certainly, the firm is not short of a few headlines. They were listed in the City Region Business Awards. Their Sheffield office opening was described as being launched "in style" by The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry. (Not least because of the beer-tasting event.) Even a personal triumph story about one of their lawyers, Jay Bhayani, who's family was forced out of Uganda and came to the UK hit mainstream media.
Established for over 100 years, Taylor Bracewell Solicitors describe themselves as a "dynamic and forward thinking" law firm, with two offices in Doncaster (Thorne Road & Ten Pound Walk) and one in Sheffield (Fountain Precinct). They cover six main areas of case type: Business Law, Personal Law, Family Law, Dispute Resolution, Charity / Not-for-Profit Law, and HR / Employment Law.

Their business and commercial law expertise extends to commercial property, employment law, dispute resolutions, digital law and similar. They assist businesses direct and support other solicitors and their business clients when requested. They make no quantitative remarks against any business type contacting them, even stating that they are happy to advise on all commercial matters for businesses large and small, new or well established. Their commercial law partner and head of the business team, Sharon Beck, has over 20 years experience with business affairs such as company acquisitions and disposals, Shareholder Agreements, company formations, Partnership Deeds, Terms and Conditions, Commercial Contracts, Franchise Agreements, Sale / Purchase of Commercial Premises, business leases, tenancies, licences and more. They promise to provide a costs quotation and a timescale at the outset of your case.
Personal Law matters handled at the firm include conveyancing, will writing, probate, Asset Protection for the Elderly, Power of Attorney, plus Trust and Inheritance Tax Planning. Here at 1to1Legal, we always like to see a focus on the needs of the Elderly. Everyone in our office either have a relative or know someone that has been the victim of exploitation. Sometimes, it can be as awful as a son convincing his confused mother to sign over her car and house to him so that he can 'keep it safe'. Making decisions on behalf of a relative is something that should be tested, handled openly, and legally managed. Clearly, there is a general theme in TB's personal law department, which is always a good sign for focus and expertise.
The Family Law department handles the usual divorce, separation, civil partnerships, injunctions, cohabitees, pre-marital agreements and so forth. When relationships break down, often there are more than just the two people affected and the considerations are far reaching. This firm's head of Family Law is Alison Kitchman who we mentioned before in the Legal 500 comments. She has over 25 years experience and a track record of success that is bolstered by her team of competent and experienced family law practitioners. Whether you're married, living together, separated, a same sex couple, etc. they offer to advise you on property, money, pensions, business interests and many other facets of dissolving a relationship. They even state an expertise in Domestic Violence and promise to take the steps to quickly protect you, your children and your home.
We took a quick look at website variants to check for possible problems, and www.taylorbracewell.com does not exist. Only the .co.uk version returns a website. The name itself is quite straightforward with no real common spelling traps. But all the same, we recommend that you bookmark the correct site once you know you are on it to save potential problems in the future.
