Marcus Andreen Commercial & IT Law Based in London: Review
Marcus Andreen is a solicitor for commercial and IT law. As a commercial lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience providing legal support to companies and individuals - his clients are mainly fast-growing, successful businesses for the IT, telecoms, e-commerce and communications sectors.
Marcus Andreen's background in both private practice and in-house advice helps him to understand commercial risk objectives, contractual arrangements, reducing financial and reputational losses, incompetently drafted contracts - as well as dealing with customers, suppliers, employees, investors and other stakeholders.
He provides practical help with a broad range of commercial and business arrangements including: Terms and Conditions, Confidentiality agreements/NDAs, Employment contracts, Partnerships and LLP agreements, as well as Investment and shareholder agreements.
He prefers to work to a fixed priced agreed upon in advance. However, where it is not possible to determine the amount of time any work is likely to take, charges will be calculated on the basis of time spent. His website states an estimated saving of around 25% to 50% when compared to that charged by full service, general law firms.
Established in 2004, with the objective of offering small businesses and entrepreneurs a cost-effective counsel-type service, Marcus Andreen had just moved from his previous work as General Counsel and Company Secretary for Eyretel plc - a UK-listed supplier of digital recording solutions. Prior to that he worked in legal roles for Mobile Systems International Limited (MSI), and Synon.
General Notes: Usually if Legal Aid is possible we've mentioned it above, but you can always ask. We haven't looked in depth at their recruitment program so are unaware of any job vacancies available. For a career with Marcus Andreen Business Law it's best to visit the website (www.marcusandreen.com), check opening hours, and find the correct phone/email contact details. Simply emailing a CV to reception looks lazy. Each law firm's Law Society and/or SRA number should be on their site, usually at the bottom of each page.
