Berlad Graham LLP Solicitors in Solihull, Bristol, Uxbridge & London: Review
The team here at 1to1Legal are always on the lookout for unique firms or even just unique individuals to invite onto our network so we can offer you a wide selection of skills, options, locations and methods to take care of your legal issues. We have accountants, barristers, solicitors, mediators, debt agencies and more.
Today's review is titled "Berlad Graham LLP" and we'll certainly cover the firm in general. However it's only as a background to how their consultants work as it's them you'll most likely deal with. Confused? Don't be. In reality, our explanation may end up giving you more information than you need. But we're seeing steady growth in these types of arrangements and Berlad Graham's setup is a great example.
The firm's official website does have some dramatic language choices though. On the 'About' page when describing one of the founders (Raanan Berlad):
They even have an outtakes video from the un-used bits and pieces from their other promotional filming. That's definitely a first. But this ..... freedom-of-expression has also allowed them to bring up some previously ignored points, such as:
I think that most law firms do actually understand this, but it's certainly not something often utilised. Many firms will try to convince you to use them by stating they were established over 200 years ago, handle millions in compensation claims, have several offices, and so on. But really, the tone and attitude of the person answering the phone - even if just the receptionist - can make or break that all important first impression. Legal matters are personal. You want to feel that you matter.
The surge in firms creating staff profiles on their websites has been phenomenal, and often stretched to ridiculous lengths. We've seen everything from favourite colours and hobbies to pets and dress sense stated in an attempt to warm you to their staff selection. This becomes more important though with the Berlad Graham setup because they seem to work almost exclusively with 'consultants' (not to be confused with 'fee earners').
Typically consultants are solicitors that work from home under the banner of an established firm rather than setting up a brand new firm with just themselves as a sole practitioner. Usually with these setups there is a central office with several solicitors that come into work each day at a desk then a couple of consultants on-the-side, as it were. Having consultants benefits the firm too. For one, they can cover a much wider area for local matters such as crime. Plus if the person consults for more than one firm they can help alleviate pressure during busy periods but not have to be laid off during quieter times.
At this point I'll apologise for the lengthy preamble, but I hope it has helped to clarify some wording or situations you might have come across already whilst looking around. I feel the information above was also necessary in order to highlight the fact it's not really Berlad Graham we've invited onto the network - it's one of these 'consultants'. So if you don't like the excitable wording on the firm's official website or you've seen reviews stating that Mr X or Miss Y at the firm is not that great, please give the person we're recommending a chance. Consider it like voting for a local councillor you like personally, despite what you think of the party leader. :)
For comparison, here are some bits from the firm's official website describing her:
Tuyyabah has her own profile descriptions on Facebook and LinkedIn though, which focus on:
There are several other reasons we like Tuyyabah. Most relevant for you is that she's stayed focused on one area of law for a very long time, growing experience and developing her expertise. She also speaks several languages and will be with you from the beginning to the end of your case.
Sadly there are still thousands of claims farms out there looking to get your details and sell them on to an actual law firm. Untrained and inexperienced people telling you that you have a great case simply to get your information. Even some solicitors may talk about their decades of experience then hand your case over to their most junior member to handle.
That's why we're very happy to have Tuyyabah on our network to offer you. The phone number and email address listed above will get you through to an experienced personal injury lawyer that will personally handle your case. A genuinely personal service, but backed with the resources of a larger firm.
We'll make a quick note on navigation before finishing. Obviously we've provided you with direct contact details above. But if you click through to Tuyyabah's profile page on the Berlad Graham website - the firm does list their own main reception contact details at the top of the page. If you want to speak to Tuyyabah directly then please use the details on this page or those listed underneath her profile description on the firm's site.
If you want to flick through other consultants at the firm the official site is the .com version not www.berladgrahamllp.co.uk even though that domain currently redirects you to the correct place. www.berladgraham.com and www.berladgraham.co.uk also currently redirect you, but we would always recommend bookmarking the site once you know you're in the right place just in case because the spelling variations possible using berladd, graeme, etc are considerable, not to mention common mistakes such as using berlad 'and' graham. We didn't even look into other tlds or things like hyphens.
General Notes: Usually if Legal Aid is possible we've mentioned it above, but you can always ask. We haven't looked in depth at their recruitment program so are unaware of any job vacancies available. For a career with Berlad Graham LLP it's best to visit the website (www.berladgrahamllp.com), check opening hours, and find the correct phone/email contact details. Simply emailing a CV to reception looks lazy. Each law firm's Law Society and/or SRA number should be on their site, usually at the bottom of each page.
