Linkilaw Solicitors Ltd:
We've worked with and written about this firm before when they were originally called Linkilaw Ltd. Even then their focus was still business clients. But with a new branding setup, web address change, and expansion into more areas of corporate law - we thought it better to write a whole new piece rather than just update the old one. So what does the firm's site say about their goals going forward?
With the ever increasing amount of free articles, document templates, and business forums the internet brings - many people can research what they need to do in order to start up a business properly. Many people can also get it entirely wrong. Sadly there is a large chunk of business owners who will whole heartedly accept what a YouTube vlogger tells them is the correct way to do things.
The flip side of this is that many commercial law firms can seem unapproachable regarding the smaller details of having your own business. A few new types of business law firm have started emerging to fill this perceived "gap". Linkilaw is one of them and Linkilaw Solicitors is their newest version.

It's not the most striking claim we've ever seen stated on a website. But it's certainly up there on the list. There are quite a few such standout phrases across the site, including:
Which is what we have tried to say before about the industry (just not as disparagingly). We might even have to disagree with them on the strength of that assessment as we have seen some very positive moves by even the stuffiest of established firms in recent years. Granted it's definitely taken alot more time than in other industries. But law firms are starting to realise that telling people they've been established for over 150 years no longer impresses.
The internet provides access to information, stats, reviews and so on. That's why people use now whether researching a product they want to buy or a company they want to use. So how does the modern Linkilaw stack up from that angle?
One resource we always recommend are The Law Society websites. Linkilaw Solicitors Ltd are registered with The Law Society of England & Wales which is actually the best site we've seen out of such organisations. They provide full pages on the firms and all the staff. If you check out the section for this firm you'll see contact information, qualification dates of the relevant solicitors, details of their specialties, and more.
Even though Linkilaw's new branding isn't a huge departure from the last, it does mean there could be cross over for a time as review sites update who they're exactly talking about. So you may not be able to see reviews under the new name on the usual sites like Google, Yelp, TrustPilot and so on for several months. We did find a few still hanging around:
"Great team and management. I really loved working with people there, they are truly professionals."
"transparent in regards to how much time it would take and what the price would be"
"They proved trustworthy when providing quality contracts needed to establish my business from scratch"
These very positive snippets do relate to the old branding of Linkilaw Ltd, however as it's the same founders and same target market - we feel confident enough to state them here with the other updated information. Chances are most review sites will do the same and just change some titles around.
The new web address is www.linkilawsolicitors.com with www.linkilawsolicitors.co.uk redirecting you there. The old address of www.linkilaw.com still has some independent pages you can visit but most have a popup suggesting that you click to go through to the new site. On this occasion the alternate www.linkilaw.co.uk does not link to the main site.
The site is https so should be secure for entering your personal information into their contact forms. However typically scammers tend to target people dealing with property matters anyway because the pay offs are obviously so much more. They obtain the relevant phone/email contact details then contact the buyer/seller pretending to be from the solicitors office and tell them new bank details to pay any deposits into. The solicitors themselves also get scammed into paying out to the wrong people.
You never know where the next scam might come from though so pay attention to the web address you are on and be aware that it's very easy to fake the "Sender:" box of an email. Never discuss your bank details with someone that calls you up. Just hang up and ring back on the phone number the solicitor originally gave you. A final word from Linkilaw about their services:
